The IEA Clean Coal Centre disseminates information and analysis on all aspects of coal from a global perspective. It publishes a number of specialised topical reports each year, operates a suite of databases and organises targeted conferences and workshops. The staff are available to provide advice and analysis to members.
Reports
The in-depth reports are produced mainly by the permanent staff, although a few are contracted out. The members select the subjects to be reviewed at the twice yearly Executive Committee meetings. Reports cover every aspect of the entire coal chain from mining to environmental effects and policy, but concentrate on power generation and clean coal technologies. A list of recently completed reports is available from our bookshop.
Databases
A number of databases and information facilities are operated by the Clean Coal Centre. They include:
Coal Meetings – coal conferences, workshops and meetings worldwide
Clean Coal Technologies – descriptions of the various clean coal technologies.
Meetings
The Centre organises several series of conferences and workshops, including:
– International Conference on Clean Coal Technologies, every two years,
– International Workshop on Mercury Emissions, every year,
– International Workshop on Cofiring Biomass with Coal, every year,
– International Workshop on Underground Coal Gasification, every year.
– International Workshop on Uprading and Efficiency Improvements in Coal-fired Power Plant, every year
– Occasional workshops on coal science.
The IEA Clean Coal Centre is treasurer and sponsor of the International Clean Coal Science and Technology (ICCS&T) series.
