Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute of China
Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI) (China) is represented on the IEA CCC Executive Committee by Mr XIE Qiuye, Mr Rui Sun, Mr Yunzhe Zheng.
As a consultation institution, EPPEI mainly provides services to the government, financial institutions, investors, developers, project owners and relevant enterprises, in the following areas:
– studies related to electric power industry, e.g. power planning, industrial policy, new technology R&D, etc.;
– electric power engineering review, evaluation and consulting;
– and standardisation of China’s electric power engineering industry.
EPPEI is entrusted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to evaluate electric power projects. EPPEI is strong in its technical forces with professionals covering all disciplines of electric power. It has rich experiences in engineering practice, as well as a sound and integrated management system. By the end of 2011, EPPEI had a staff of 240, and the majority of them are technicians, including 2 national survey & design masters, 92 professor-level senior engineers and 45 registered engineers.
